How Bali Inspires Most House and Resort Designs

The panoramically exotic Indonesian island of Bali has always been closely associated with the word "paradise". Its close association is not without reason for Bali is famous for its diverse and classy magnificently visual culture infused with spirituality --- particularly displayed in its diverse and sophisticated art forms, such as painting, sculpture, woodcarving, handcrafts and its countless uniquely designed Hindu temples, with all of these art forms sporting a unique exotic Balinese designs.

Aside from its art forms, these unique exotic Balinese designs have also influenced Bali lifestyle and its house designs as well as its Bali villa designs –-- of which Bali has become famous for, with its large collection of private villas in Bali for rent, complete with staff and top-class levels of service.

Balinese House Designs

Balinese designs --- be it decorative or structural --- displays a well-considered function which may be of an earthly or spiritual nature. It combines the peasant liveliness with the refinement of classicism of Hinduistic Java and the new vitality fired by the excitement of the demonic spirit of the tropical primitive.

Overall, just like any other traditional Asian designs, Balinese designs are uniquely exotic but basically simple and down-to-earth.

There is some house designs that are Balinese influenced such as:

The Bali T-House by Tony Gwilliam

Gwilliams’s T-house design celebrates Bali’s colorful fusion of Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

Designed by Tony Gwilliam, the T-House showcases the interdependent “living system” model inspired by traditional Asian architecture -- the bale, which is the pavilion structure in Indonesia compounds where Balinese families lived.

The T-House is built with simple rustic materials, designed to work with nature, as in Asian tradition. It is rafted in sustainable natural materials-ironwood, alang alang, and bamboo-harvested from forest in Indonesia so it is good for the earth.

These T-House designed houses are displayed in a village of T-houses located on a rice plantation near Lodtunduh --- which was said to be an experiment in “minimalist impact living,” where Gwilliam and his partner, Marita Vidal, an architect from Argentina, developed the pilot project Bali T in the Rice.

Bali Villa Designs

As Bali’s unique exotic Balinese designs, both traditional and modern, are everywhere in Bali and impossible to miss, these Balinese designs have also greatly impacted Bali villas with regards to its designs and architecture.

Though usually the traditional Balinese designs combines the colorful fusion of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, in today’s era of the glamorously provocative, edgy and high-tech modernistic designs, Balinese designs daringly departs from the traditional to the boldly avant-garde, with all its blings.

One example of these modernistic–inspired Balinese designs Bali villas is the W Retreat and Spa Bali.

The W Retreat and Spa Bali

As one enters the space-age airport terminal looking lobby, one can observe that the silver and granite finish artistically blends with splashes of fuchsia, lilac and gold. Moreover, fanning out above the lobby are the lower-category rooms, each of which has a view over the multi-level WET area and Indian Ocean from their balconies.

Furthermore, W has expensive rooms that are strategically positioned in the different corner of the property, with these gated villas having a private pool and ample living space.

Balinese–Inspired Artists

As Balinese designs has greatly influenced on house designs and private villas, these Balinese designs also has a great impact on artists and designers, with regards to their designs ---- specifically designer fashion outfits.

Alleira

Helpful Tips On Maximizing Your Bali Villa Vacation

What could be better than taking time off work and spending it in a place where the hectic pace of the metropolis is missing? However, false moves and wrong choices can be devastating to one’s vacation. So here is a list of advices and tips to maximize that Bali villa vacation.
  1. Vacationers should book their villas as early as 6 months before the scheduled holiday since the best villas easily get fully-booked.
  2. Get everyone’s desires down on paper. It would help make the choosing faster and more effective if the specific wants of vacationers are considered.
  3. Setting priorities will be good. What aspect should be considered first? Is it the budget, size, or the location of the place?
  4. Be reasonable about costs. Prices range because of the type of accommodation people are getting. The bigger the place, the more expensive it is. However, the more people sharing the expenses, the smaller the contribution becomes.
  5. Living away from the city is a beautiful experience. However, staying too far away from the city can be difficult. So when choosing a Bali villa, it should be made sure that it is accessible to everything.
  6. Take advantage of extras in Bali villa services. There are many low-price villas that offer freebies like free housekeeping, driver, chef, and others.
  7. Put everything in writing. Signing contracts when renting a villa can protect not only the owner of the villa but the renter as well.

When one reaches the intersection, a left turn has to be made until upon arriving at a little corner. From Ungasan Village which is about 500 meters from the intersection, one is to take a left turn and take that road. One has to take note of signposts that say Karma Kandara and Di Mare. Di Mare is the Italian restaurant’s name in Hotel Karma Kandara. Nammos Beach CLub, on the other hand, is the restaurant/bar on the edge of Karma Kandara. The road that turns to the right leads to the Hotel Karma Kandara. The entrance to this hotel and the restaurant in the Mare are different and are far apart.

Nyang Nyang

The Nyang Nyang Beach is located on the south of Bali, not far from Jalan Raya Uluwatu. Unlike the Karma Kandara and the Green Bowl whose white sand beaches are not visible from the top of the cliff, the white sand of Nyang Nyang can be clearly seen from the top of the cliff. Furthermore, the cliffs here are also much higher than those of the other two. The stairs are higher which makes the trekking more exhausting.

Limestone rocky dirt road is what will lead the guests to the beach. That is why the advice for tourists is to visit this rare Bali vacation spot during the dry season and to bring a tall vehicle.

Tulamben Wreck Divers Resort

Among the most interesting things that people can remember about Tulamben Wreck Divers Resort is its warm staff. Though they don’t speak very good English, they are friendly, hospitable, warm, and professional.

While staying in Bali, going to the beach is just stepping from the lush green lawn. The beautiful calm sea is the view from the bedrooms. There is also an outside lounge, splash pool, large garden, and a wooden deck at the end of the garden.

As the name suggests, it provides the best dives at the wreck, the fall off, the coral garden, plus the other macro dive sites. The night dive is also a spectacular experience. It is a totally new thing especially that the usual dive times are the daytime.

Villa Asada

Villa Asada is located ten minutes away from the seaside village of Candidasa. This is a beautiful yet undeveloped area that is away from the hustle and bustle of the mainstream tourism.

Villa Asada has a living and dining room which measures 16.5 in length and 5.7 meters wide. Its acid marble floor opposes its cream décor and soaring roof.

A coffee table and a sofa adorn the living room while a table for ten rests in the dining room. A small chess table is also strategically placed to allow guests to play some game. Gentle breezes and the ceiling fans provide coolness to the place.

Its well- equipped kitchen is located at one end of the dining and living room. Besides its walk-in pantry, it also has a black polished granite central island.

The bedrooms and bathrooms of Bali Villa Asada include two air conditioned master suites which are located one above the other. Each of these is provided a cozy sitting room with a desk and armchairs. It also has a large balcony and terrace. Its walk in closet and built-in dressing table give that feeling of prestige and royalty.

In the main building’s pool level are two guest bedrooms. These rooms have sliding glass doors that open onto the pool while its separate door serves as access to the family room.

One bedroom has twin beds and the other has a king-size bed.

Villa Asada also has a family room that is decorated with water hyacinth sofas. It also has a swimming pool where one can dip in to get that cooling and calming effect of water.

Bali is indeed a place that is filled with hidden spots. These rare Bali destinations also deserve a visit. These are only waiting for more people to see and discover.

Native Food Choices In Selected Bali Villas

Bali is the home of nature. Each year, thousands of tourists come to the island paradise to experience its uniquely breathtaking views. Tourists and locals alike are there to enjoy the island’s pristine and clear blue waters, its powdery white sands, and its beautiful and homey villas. But, of course, they would never want to miss the sumptuous and delectable meals served in Bali villas.

Bali does only take pride in its homey and comfortable villas. More than that, its trained and well-equipped chefs have more than a hundred dishes up their sleeves in their villa catering. In Bali, the most delectable dishes can be served at one’s beck and call. Bali has the best food choices.

So before you log on to your favorite Bali Villa site and press that “book” button, read this first so you can have an idea of what awaits you in Bali.

Bali’s villa catering offers different kinds of breakfasts. Among the food choices include Western, Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese, and Vegetable breakfasts. All these one can order to suit one’s discriminating taste.

Aside from breakfast, villa caterings also serve whole day dining. They serve Indonesian and Balinese dishes. These are usually filled with shellfish, nuts, and other spices. But if you ever have any allergy to such items, you can always tell your cook ahead of time.

Villa caterings also offer western cuisines. There are also the different soups and appetizers like the Avocado-Shrimp Cocktail and the Calamari Fritti. The main courses include Fillet Steak with Herb Butter, Fried Prawns, Squid with Butter Sauce, Steamed Herb Snapper, Grilled Fish with Garlic, and many more. The side dishes include mashed potato, French fries, and Mixed Garden salad.

Many of the dishes are prepared for three to four people. So do not overdo ordering or you might end up with a mountain of leftovers.

The dishes are served “family style”. This method of serving allows everyone an equal access to the food. Instead of placing the dishes on each customer’s plate, these are put in big bowls and are placed in the middle of the table for everyone to enjoy.

If one is also staying in Bali, the different Bali delicacies should be tried out. The traditional Balinese dishes are combined with herbs, spices, roots, and other savory ingredients. The spices include spice paste, chicken spice paste, beef spice paste, shallots, fried bird’s eye chili sambal, and lemongrass sambal.

If you are the type who loves vegetables, then you can try the Lawar Ayam or the Green Bean Salad with Chicken. This dish is cooked with chicken but may also be substituted with beef or pork and then mixed with jackfruit.

Another delicacy that is worth trying while in Bali is the Sayur Pakis or the Fern Tips in Garlic Dressing. Fern tips which are boiled and dried are the most basic ingredient in this dish.

Sambal Be Tongkol or Tuna Fish Salad is a seafood dish in Bali. This can either be cooked with fresh tuna or canned tuna.

The island of Bali is so rich not only in nature but in delectable dishes as well. The Bali food choices are excellent especially that villa caterings have the best trained chefs.

Difference Between Hotels and Villas in Bali

The feel of the sun’s rays as it touches your skin is familiar. The warmer temperature reminds us of something exciting. The bright blue skies make us imagine how nice it would be to relax and enjoy. Yes, it is summertime. And whether we like it or not, summer has arrived and it is here to stay.

Summer is a great time to enjoy, unwind, and get away from the hectic pace of the metropolis. It is a perfect excuse to wear that tan because it is the time when tan is the in skin color. But summer won’t stay long. In two months, it will be gone. So it is imperative to plan where to go and what activities to make at this time.

Bali is an island off the coast of Indonesia. This beautiful island is blessed with nature and its gifts. The cool blue waters are clear and sparkling. The powdery white sand is for everyone to bask in. The warm and friendly people attract visitors from all over the world. Of course, its villas are among its most precious sources of pride.

Staying in bali villas during the tropic summer is an exciting thing. Compared to hotels, villas are more close to home. The setting is just like one’s own house. The mood is more relaxed and the amenities are more natural. Bali villas also have themes. Some are into Dutch/Balinese while some are into Chinese art. Some are modern looking but others are made of wood and these are more relaxing. Bali hotels do not have a beautiful façade and there are no balconies and overlooking windows. Hotels are also purely modern and that does not provide a relaxing atmosphere for the guests. So when you are spending a Bali summer, go to your most favorite Bali villa.

When you are in Bali for a tropic summer, do not just stay indoors and enjoy only the Bali villas. You have to go out and enjoy many outdoor activities that Bali villas provide. Among these is swimming in the beach. Unlike plainly swimming in the pool, the seawater has a calming effect especially that it is salty. Salt is known to have some healing properties. Apart from that, one can also snorkel and enjoy the beautiful underwater scenery without having to go into meters-deep water. But if one’s idea of a Bali summer is to go into the deep, one can also enjoy scuba diving. Your favorite Bali villa surely has some dive masters who can keep you company as you explore the world deep under.

If your idea of conquering the world is by conquering the waves, you can also surf. Bali also has the best waves in the planet.

Frisbee can also be played by the beach. Other beach activities include beach volley and plain sunbathing. But at night, parties are held in many areas of Bali. Not to mention, Bali is also the best place for shopping.

Spending a tropic summer in Bali is a true adventure. But it will not be as enjoyable if you do not stay at your favorite Bali Villa. So wait no more. Book that favorite villa of yours now and head for your Bali summer.

Kuta Bali, The Best Place For Surfers

Bali is known all over the world for its beautiful view of nature. Its coconut palms, wild trees, pure white and powdery sand, calm blue waters, beautiful and warm people, and unique culture all contribute to its name today. Bali is one place where people go to take some time off, relax, and enjoy the sun. But today, Bali no longer remains to be just a place for sunbathing and swimming. It goes far beyond that. Bali is now a place for beach surfing.

Surfing is such a fun adventure for beach lovers. The feel of the wave beneath your board gives you satisfaction, thrill, and triumph. Surfing is not only a healthy sport but it is also an activity that can bring people and families together. It is one of the highlighted activities in Bali Beaches. All over the world, Bali provides you the best surfing beaches and the best Bali beach surfing experience in the world. Here in Bali, surfing is mastered just as much as their traditional dances are danced with grace and poise.

Every year, people from all over the world come to experience this unique Bali beach surfing in Kuta Bali. Kuta Bali is an area in Bali where there is a long stretch of white sand that is ideal for swimming. But more than that, it also faces the Indian Ocean giving it the best and largest waves in the world perfect for that beach surfing experience. Both beginners and professionals can hang out at the Kuta Bali to get that optimum feel of a real surfer. Kuta Bali also has complete beach amenities for everyone including surfing instructors. So if you are still at the learning stage, the Kuta Bali surfing is the best place to practice. It is here that you will meet many of the world’s best surfers and be able to exchange words with them regarding their experience as surfers.

Beach surfing in Kuta Bali is an experience that everyone must try. When thinking of going Bali beach surfing, remember these few tips. Firstly, never forget to bring along your friends and family to have a maximum experience. Surfing will not be fun if you are alone. Learning how to dazzle in between waves together with friends is more fun and exciting. Secondly, be open about learning and take only a little of your fear with you. Having too much fear and anxiety about surfing will only hinder you from learning.

Thirdly, always listen to what your instructor tells you. He knows the waters better than you do so always take not of his instructions. Fourthly, take beach surfing step by step. Do not come rushing towards a very huge wave at your first try. Only when you have already gotten a feel of the waves will you start to meet those bigger ones.

Bali beach surfing is truly an experience. But it should be dealt with much care and caution. Approach it with relish from the first taste to the last. So when you have beach surfing in mind, think Bali beach. Think Kuta Bali.
